Few days ago, I enjoyed a very nice breakfast time with one of my very very good taiwanese friends, Mr. Harry, the shoe man! Harry asked me to join him at La Festa, and so, I was very happy to have the opportunity meet him again (as he lives in China) and at the same time, to discover this new restaurant.
Welcome to The Grand Victoria Hotel.
The hotel is located in 大直 district and next to the Miramar shopping center, one of Taipei well developed areas for leisure and entertainment. The restaurant is in the 2nd. floor of the hotel. Let´s go to the elevator and see what´s inside...

La Festa is a Catalan word (probably also italian) which means "La Fiesta" in Spanish or "The Party" in English. Let´s see which type of food is served inside,... pure italian!

And 56 degrees to the north west, hanging on the wall... cute Doraimon hats!
And here it is the core of the restaurant! All the area where customers enjoy their meals.

And the most important area, the food one! Let´s take a look!

Best over all, fruit mix, the tutti frutti!
Banana Joes are really fresh!
And this is overall, the very VERY BEST! At least, for me... The finest selection of Spanish Ham Iberico, PATA NEGRA, and Cheese MANCHEGO. THIS IS THE BEST!

Here it is! The restaurant essence! A breakfast time in The Grand Victoria Hotel cost around 700 TWD + Service charge, total around +-800 TWD! I know is expensive, but who said that quality is cheap? Right? Try it, you won´t regret.
Did you actually had dinner in LA FESTA TAIPEI? I paid 5000 Nt$ for 2. I had such a bad experience:

-Waitress was impolite, not able to speak english, just displayed the food on the table and did not explain anything
-Pasta were dry, cold, small and barely did not contain any other ingredients or condiment than just white pasta.
-The pork was dry, too thick, hard to cut and to chew.
Therefore i complained to the manager. He just told us to choose another set menu. What we did, but once again we were really disappointed.
After the dinner, i had the feeling that i eat so much different dishes that i would throw up.
Once i paid the check, i shared my experience with the manager and he finally got me free dinner. I was happy but felt very bad about other guests that would not complain and have to pay for this...
